- Will represent the city at the Grand Finale of the prestigious Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2017 in Delhi on 11th October 2017
September 9, Chennai: College of Engineering, Guindy, won the Chennai qualifying round of The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2017 held at the Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai Today.
The team of three comprising Azmil Riyas, Akilan and Kanimuhilaan did their college proud by answering the brain-teasers posed by Quizmaster Seema Chari and winning the Chennai finals in which 140 teams had participated.
Ms. Josa Kärre, Counsellor & Head of Economic Section from the Embassy of Sweden handed out the prizes at the Inter-Collegiate quiz competition which saw avid quizzers from across reputed colleges and technical institutes of the city and from nearby areas.
Winners of the Chennai round will represent the city at the National Finals which will be held at New Delhi on 11th of October 2017.
Apart from Chennai, the Quiz will also be held in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore and Delhi.
The winners of the National quiz will get all-expenses paid trip to Sweden, where they will visit headquarters of the partnering companies, Swedish universities and the Nobel Museum.
