The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) Organises Annual Convocation Programme

New Delhi, April 14, 2016: The Delhi School of Communication celebrated the annual convocation ceremony and awarded degrees to the students who successfully completed the 20^th batch of students who successfully completed the Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Communication (PGDPC) in the 20^th batch of DSC’S flagship programme. Diplomas, special awards and scholarships being also conferred to the outgoing batch of working executives. The event was thrown on April, 13, 2016 at Alliance Francaise de Delhi.

Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Co-Founder Info Edge India Ltd was the Chief Guest of the annual function who also made the convocation speech. Tiruchirappalli: Mounting a scathing attack, BJP president Amit Shah Wednesday accused the Jayalalithaa government of being the "most corrupt" in the country and asked the people to oust it in the May 16 Assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference here flanked by three Union ministers, including Power Minister Piyush Goyal, he also charged the state government with non-cooperation over implementation of central schemes including UDAY, aimed at helping debt-ridden state power discoms.

Goyal had recently said that Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was "inaccessible" and criticised the state government for not joining the Centre's UDAY scheme.

Projecting NDA as an alternative to AIADMK and DMK, Shah said, "The Narendra Modi government is committed to the welfare of villages, the poor and labour class. I am confident the people of Tamil Nadu will give priority to NDA in the polls."

"People should change this most corrupt government in India and give NDA a chance," the BJP chief said in a sharp attack on Jayalalithaa whose AIADMK has extended issue-based support to the Modi government in Parliament.

Shah, who will launch BJP's campaign at a rally here later this evening, alleged that the Centre was facing problems in implementing many schemes in the state like UDAY. "UDAY, for instance, is meant to reach consumers but the Tamil Nadu government is not coming forward to implement it," he said.

Same was the case with the proposed AIIMS, he said in an apparent reference to the proposal to set up one of the units of the premier health institute in the state, but which is yet to take off. Shah also trained his guns at both DMK and AIADMK, besides Congress and charged them with corruption.

"Whether it be 2G (DMK) or disproportionate assets case (AIADMK) Aircel-Maxis (DMK)?or ED case against (son of Congress leader P Chidambaram) Karti, their top leaders face corruption cases. These show they did corruption when they were in power," he said.

However, there was no corruption charge against the two-year old Modi government, he said, adding that his party stood for development.

The NDA will deliver on its development agenda in Tamil Nadu if voted to power, he said, alleging that sand and liquor mafia had exploited people under the Dravidian parties' rule in the state.

Mumbai, April 14, 2016: SANY Group, one of the leading manufacturers of port logistics equipment, has signed a contract today with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) for Design, Manufacture and Supply of 15 numbers of Electrically operated Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (E-RTGCs). The contract was signed at the Maritime India Summit 2016 in Mumbai between Deepak Garg, CEO of SANY India and A J Lokhande, Chief Manager, Mechanical & Electrical and Port Planning & Development, JNPT, in the presence of Mr Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Mr Anil Diggikar, Chairman, JNPT and Mr Neeraj Bansal, Deputy Chairman, JNPT.

The landmark contract flags on the entry of SANY Group into the Heavy Gantry Cranes segment in India. The E-RTGCs developed by SANY come with best-in-class technology, efficiency and performance and will further enable JNPT in developing their port to match the evolving needs of port logistics industry. This new batch of E-RTGCs from SANY will modernize the existing fleet, catering to increasing traffic at the JNPT.

The E-RTGCs is a part of GREEN PORT INITIATIVE project.

"We were in need of additional RTGCs to ensure minimum cycle time and to support the traffic demand. “Therthal Timeline” is a satirical show, which explores the intricacies of TN politics through social media. This show is produced by Mirunalini and Vasanth Subramanian from News7 Tamil. Everyone strongly believes that social media is going to create a major impact in the coming TN election, Therthal Timeline makes an attempt to engage the public with the politicians through social media in a satirical way.

'Therthal Timeline' viewers make no attempt to move from their couches until the fun and frolic is over on every Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5 pm to 5.30 pm. The show has various segments including Alasiya Arasiyal, Online Attagasam and Hashtag Bowl. Intelligent and funny political comments pertaining to the present political situation are paraded with fun filled mimics and gimmicks in the show. One of the producers, Vasanth Subramanian's mimicry and dubbing adds more fun to the satirical show.

Most of the creative memes find its place in Therthal Timeline and through the segment called Hashtag Bowl, the general public speak on their favorite hashtags. Thethal Timeline makes it easy even for the layman to understand what politics is and especially what social media politics is.

Therthal Timeline is produced and anchored by Mirunalini and Vasanth Subramanian, telecasted on Saturdays and Sundays at 5.00 pm and Re-telecasted on Sundays and Mondays at 12.00 pm.

Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Moscow, Russia, from 22^nd -  24^th May 2016. 

Dr. K. M. Cherian, Founder & Chairman, Frontier Lifeline Hospital, is the only Indian to be invited for this prestigious Russian Scientific Conference. Founded in 1956 by Soviet surgeon Aleksandr Bakulev, being officially named the Thoracal Surgery Institute of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery is attached to the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and is one of the leading cardiovascular surgery-related facilities of the Russian Federation.
