Chennai: Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and DMK treasurer M K Stalin today visited the house of murdered Infosys employee S Swathi and consoled her parents. Later, speaking to reporters, Stalin said the perpetrator of the crime should be brought to book and urged the Chennai police to step up the search.
S Swathi, a systems engineer working with Infosys was hacked to death by an as-yet-unidentifi ed man at Nungambakkam Railway station at around 6 a.m while she waiting to board a train to Chengalpet.
Video footage of a man jumping over the station wall and walking away had been recorded by a nearby house’s CCTV camera. Police are still on the lookout for the assailant.
