SRM ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE 20th GRADUATION DAY, 30th APRIL 2016
Chennai: “Develop your knowledge along with extra curricular, to build a good career,” said Justice R. Mahadevan, Judge of the Madras High Court, speaking at the 20th Graduation Day at SRM ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE on 30th April 2016.
Students of the college, located on SRM University campus in Kattankulathur, listened in rapt attention as Justice R. Mahadevan spoke about 5th century Nalanda University and compared that ancient university with SRM Group of Institutions, SRM Arts and Science college. He discussed about the standard of SRM Group of Institutions which is known worldwide in this 21st century.
He advised the young graduates to develop their knowledge along with extra curricular. In this competitive world, after attaining the success, the students have to take their relatives and close one along with them to the society where the human value is respected, through that the students can create well disciplined and respectable society to the world. Also, never forget the institution you studied in, the teachers who moulded you and, finally, the parents who are the the most important part of your life.
A total of 413 graduates of UG and PG received their graduation certificates. More than 44 students have secured Top 50 Ranks in University of Madras.
Ms. Sushma Sarah Thomas, M.Sc Visual Communication has secured the Gold Medal in the University Examination among several affiliated colleges.This gold medal was presented by SRM University.
During this academic year 100% of the students among eligible in both UG and PG have been placed in 50 National and Multinational Companies.
Dr. K. Subburam, Principal, SRM Arts and Science College, presented the academic report pointing out the achievements of the students and the faculty in the current academic year.
T.R. Paarivendhar, Chancellor SRM Group of Institutions, and Ravi Pachamoothoo, chairman, SRM Group of institutions, SRM University, were present on the occasion.
