To mark the milestone 70 years of Independent India, Taj is turning back time to recreate that momentous night, with the heady atmosphere and unbridled excitement of the dawn of a new era at its flagship hotels across India.
At Taj Coromandel, the 1947 menu will be recreated by hotel’s master chefs showcasing an authentic take on the classics served 70 years ago including Veloute d’Amandes (Cream of Almond); Delices al ‘Hindustan (a kebab platter of Palak ki shammi, Kasundi broccoli, Kali mirch ka paneer tikka Kebab for vegetarians or Tandoori jhinga, Zafrani murgh, Mutton seekh kebab for non-vegetarians); Paupiette de Saumon Joinville (Paupiette of salmon with cream oyster sauce) or Poularde soufflé independence (Chicken stuffed with pistachio and creamed chicken, Buttered vegetablesor Vegetable fricassee with herb pilaf (Mélange of exotic vegetable with fine herb sauce, served with herb rice). Round of this memorable meal experience with Vacherin de Peches liberation (Peach and meringue tart); and Friandises(Hand rolled chocolates and flavored macaroons).
