Half yearly exams for Class 10 and Class 12 students in Tamil Nadu state board schools that were to be held on December 7, 8 and 14 will now be held on January 2, 3 and 5, the education department announced on Tuesday.
The exams that were to be held on December 7 and 8 could not be conducted in schools across the state since the government had announced three days of holidays on account of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa's demise.
Jayalalithaa died on December 5. These exams will be held on January 2 and 3.
The exams that were to be held on December 14 could not be conducted in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts in the wake of cyclone Vardah. These exams will be held in the three districts on January 5. The rescheduling of the December 14 exams is applicable only to these three districts.
