Chennai, 2016: Mitra Constructions from Hyderabad, and Wipro from Chennai won the Zonal Finals of Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2016 held at Chennai today. These winners will now compete in the national finals to be held in Mumbai next month. The finale of Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz was a remarkable display of determination and intelligent quizzing. Regional winners from over 190 teams represented by Ford, Wipro, Sun TV, Cognizant, The Hindu and Computer Sciences Corporation from Chennai also competed at the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz Chennai Zone this year.
The Zone 4 Finals had some edge of the seat quizzing moments and a nail biting finish giving the audience a spectacular show of intellect and wit. The zonal winners won a prize of Rs. 75,000/-* while the runners-up received Rs. 35,000/-.
Chief Guest Mr. KrishGanesan, Global Head of Talent Acquisition, TCS gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up of the Chennai Zone Finals. Addressing a packed audience at the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2016. Mr. Krish Ganesan, Global Head of Talent Acquisition, TCS said, “In India, the talent reservoirs in schools, colleges and organizations are increasing and competitions like this reiterate the same. The knowledge capital of India is certainly in safe hands”.
Emerging victorious and booking themselves a spot in the National Finals were Naveen Kumar and Phani Mahesh from Sai Mitra Constructions who were declared as the winners of the Chennai Zonal Final round. Runners-up were Viraj Rajendra and U. Sai Bharath from Wipro. The other teams were Arun Saravanan and YogeshPai from Chennai Siks, Coimbatore; Jis Sebaston and Feny Joy from Tresreis Technology, Trivandrum; NitinSuresh and Arun Thomas from Malayalam Manorama, Kochi; Baibaswata Chatherjee and Sethu Madhavan from Capgemini, Bangalore.
