Tamil Nadu Governor Dr. K Rosaiah unveiled the logo of the Koyambedu Food Grains Traders Association (KFGTA), in a function held yesterday at the Wholesale Food Grain Market Complex, Koyambedu.
Mr. S. Krishna Kumar, Chief General Manager, Canara Bank – Circle Office, Mr. A. Padmasingh Isaac, Founder and Chairman, Aachi Masala, Mr. G. Ravindran, MD, Century Flour Mills, Mr. K.T. Srinivasa Raja, President, Chennai Hotels Association, Mr. S. Chandresan, President, Mr. Mahendra Parmar, Secretary and Mr. A. Chandraiah, Treasurer, KFGTA were all present at the ceremony.
Governor in his speech stressed the need for traders to adapt to the changing circumstances and implement new techniques and technology that will enhance their business. He welcomed the joint efforts of TN traders association and KFGTA to put into service the integrated market complex which will enhance the trade and export of numerous variety of food grains under one roof.
Mr. Mahendra Parmar, Secretary, KFGTA said, “The wholesale food grains complex was built to decongest the Kothawal Chavadi market. As a result of joint efforts taken by the TN Govt., CMDA and the traders association, we have right now 492 shops in the complex and are planning to get 800 more shops in near future.
