Renowned Children's heart specialist Dr K S Murthy invited to China as faculty for Conference of Congenital Heart Diseases

Hyderabad, June 14th, 2016: Renowned Children's heart specialist and Chairman & Chief Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon, Innova Hospital, Tarnaka, Dr. K. S. Murthy has been bestowed the prestigious honor of being invited as the faculty at “The first Fuwai International Conference of Complex Congenital Heart Diseases” at Beijing, China, on 18th - 19th June 2016, being hosted by Fuwai Hospital, China on the occasion of its 60th Anniversary. It is a rare honor considering he being the only faculty from India amongst a galaxy of world renowned congenital heart disease specialists attending the conference. He will deliver two lectures at the conference.
Fuwai Hospital is the largest national and exclusive center for Cardiovascular diseases in China. It is one of world’s largest centers and perform highest number of heart surgeries in China. This forum helps to interact with the best surgeons in the world, share knowledge and improve patient care in the field of children’s heart diseases.
Dr. Murthy, who established Innova Children’s Heart Hospital, Hyderabad - the first of its kind in the country to provide dedicated care for children suffering from heart disease, will have a discussion with the faculty of the Fuwai Hospital for exchange program in training and sharing the knowledge in the field of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, besides the two lectures.
Dr. K. S. Murthy has performed highest number of children’s heart surgeries in both states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, especially children belonging to lower socio economic background. He has innovated new surgical techniques in the field of pediatric cardiology and were published in International journals. These surgical procedures are called Dr.Murthy’s techniques. He has performed highest number of Unifocalization in the country for complex heart diseases and it is one of the highest numbers in the world. He has formulated treatment protocols for this difficult anomaly. As he is an authority in this technique, he is delivering lecture on “Single stage unifocalization for TOF, Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCAS -Challenges and controversies”. He is also delivering another lecture on “Establishing and running a dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Center with limited resources in developing countries”. He trained several professionals from Africa, South Asia and developing countries.
