Baghdad: At least three crew members were killed when an Iraqi military helicopter crashed on Tuesday in the country's Wasit province, a provincial security source said.
The Russia-made Mi-17 chopper crashed due to technical malfunction while it was flying over a village in Kut city, Xinhua quoted the source as saying.
The source could not confirm whether the helicopter was carrying any passenger. The helicopter was flying from a military airbase in Basra in southern Iraq to Baghdad, the source said.
