MiniPride

As a rousing start of the PrideFestival, we organize the MiniPride on April, 29th. This parade is the folkloric version of the big PrideParade, that will be held later during the PrideFestival.

The MiniPride starts with an opening reception in the city hall. Everybody is welcome from 6.30 pm in the ‘Galerie Des Souverains’. This reception will be followed by a manifestation with the fanfare of the Meyboom.

Starting from the City Hall, the procession goes towards Manneken-Pis, which will provide in his own way for cherry. After this, the procession returns to the Grand Place which will be lit up in rainbow colors.

Then the crowd goes towards the Kolenmarkt, where a bus of the MIVB-STIB will be waiting for us. What will stand out, are the rainbow colors on this bus.

It is possible that one of these days you’ll come across a tram in Brussels, covered with rainbow colors. The bus does a whole tour through Brussels where several buildings are illuminated in rainbow colors. The bus drives among others past the Kunstberg, the P&V-building at the Kruidtuin and the Belfius tower at square Rogier. The MiniPride ends with a little party in the RainBowHouse Brussels at the Kolenmarkt.

Pride.be: now more than ever

PRIDE.be 2016 has once again the pleasure to welcome you on May, 14th.

March, 22nd is a date that will remain in our hearts for a while. The Belgian Pride was shocked, our values and standards are affected. Therefore more than ever PRIDE.be has to take place on May, 14th so people can come together to pursue equality of rights and to improve the life of the LGBTQI-community.

A memorial has been created on the Beursplein and it increases every day. Out of respect for the victims and the affected families, the event will not take place at the Beurs this year but at the Kunstberg.

With every Pride comes a PrideParade. This will also be modified. You can find the map of the PrideParade underneath.

Like all other mass events in Brussels, we have a strong commitment to security. This year The Belgian Pride will create a security zone around the event. This means that there will be just a couple of entrances and exits in order to exert greater control and to assure more security. There will be different direction indicators to guide people to the entrances.

When we say ‘PRIDE.be’, we think about ‘inclusion’. PRIDE.be appeals to many people and it’s important to include each person. That’s why we created PRIDE @ HOME, an online event to bring people at home in a virtual way to PRIDE.be. They are connected online to each other and to PRIDE.be and celebrate at home. Please find more information on the following page.

The most important thing hasn’t changed: PRIDE.be is still an event open to all people, Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Trans, Queer, Inter and all their friends. People who are coming out and are ‘pride’ of who they are and who they love. Pride wouldn’t be Pride without any surprises so we suggest you to pass by and discover what we have in store! See you at PRIDE.be at and out Brussels on May, 14th at 2 pm at Kunstberg near the central station.

Pride@home

As previously mentioned, we also organize besides PRIDE.be 2016, PRIDE@HOME. We do this to get everyone involved in the event, even people who don’t come to Brussels on May, 14th.

We created the event ‘PRIDE@HOME’ on Facebook. This will be communicated extensively on our Facebook page. On the page people, who celebrate at home, can massively share their pictures and videos on how they experience PRIDE.be at home. Through that way we can celebrate together.

Through PRIDE @ HOME we create a platform on which live video screens will be seen by people at home. They will see each other through live videos and they will also experience the event live through a fixed camera on the Kunstberg.

Don’t you have the appropriate music? Don’t worry, on the day of the event a music list will be published through Spotify. So keep an eye on the Facebook page PRIDE@HOME.
