Fortis Malar Hospital takes up Swachh Bharat Mission for a cleaner and greener Chennai
Chennai, 27 April 2016: In an effort to support the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat mission initiative, Fortis Malar Hospital organized a cleanliness drive in the city to keep the surroundings clean and infection free. The objective was to keep the surroundings of the hospital and its neighbourhood hygienic and tidy.
Fortis Malar hospital today conducted a beach cleaning activity as a part of its corporate social responsibility. Employees of Fortis Malar Hospital along with students from Cornerstone International College, Adyar participated in this activity sending out a strong message of social consciousness and to emphasize on the responsibility of citizens in keeping the environment clean.Mr. Raghunath, Facility Director, Fortis Malar Hospital took part in the initiative which witnessed participation from 60 volunteers.
Prior to this initiative, Doctors, nurses, technicians, HR employees, Sales and Marketing professionals from the Fortis Malar hospital have recently participated in cleaning their hospital premises and the neighbourhood for the cause.
Each year, all the Fortis network hospitals organize several activities on different health concerns based on the need of a community. Through these activities, the facilities use the opportunity to create awareness on different topics which help people take required measures to protect themselves from preventable diseases.
