Chennai, 8th April, 2016: Andhra Minister for HRD and Education Ganta Srinivas Rao presented Mahila Rathna award to Justice T. Meenakumari, chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission at the Ugadi celebrations organised by Kala Sudha Telugu Association in Chennai.
Sri Kala Sudha Telugu Association’s 18th Ugadi Celebration was held at music academy. Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganga Srinivsa Rao presented the Mahila Rathna awards and film awards in the presence of T. Meenakumari, chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission, V.L. Dutt, Chairperson KCP Ltd. Pappu Venugopala Rao, Secretary, Music Academy, Bethireddy Srinvas, Founder President, Kala Sudha Telugu Association.
The Mahila Rathna Award presented to Justice Meenakumari, chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission and former Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court. The presented by Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for HRD and Education, Andhra Pradesh in the presence of V.L. This Association was established in 1998 in Chennapuri to spread the glory of Telugu People on the occasion of 18th year celebration along with international women’s day, the Association awarded two women achievers with Mahila Rathna Award and film awards to 24 celebrities
Bapu Bomma Award and Bapu Ramana awards were given actor actress who acted in Bapu movies in accordance to the decision of the expert committee nominated
On the occasion, the chief guest Ganta Srinivas rao, minister of HRD and Education felicitated the awardees. The others present were. Guest of honour Smt. V.L.
