GoAir moves to Terminal 2, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi

Chennai, Oct 26, 2017: GoAir, an aviation foray of Wadia Group,, will shift its entire operations to Terminal 2 with effect from 00:01 hours of 29th October 2017. In order to facilitate the growth of IGI Airport, GoAir has mutually agreed with DIAL to move its entire operations from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 from October 29, 2017. The airline has taken various initiatives to ensure hassle free shifting.

To inform its passengers of the change, signage and hoardings will be put up across both terminals at the airport. GoAir will also update its passengers through social media network, company website and intimation through email, sms and its customer service helpline. To ensure awareness amongst public transport services, the airline will communicating the change to all local cabs and offices of all radio taxi operators.

T2 is centrally located and is easily accessible from both T1 and T3. Infact the new terminal 2 is less than 500 metre of walking distance from the international terminal T3. T2 is also well connected with the Central Delhi through Airport Metro line. G8 207 from New Delhi to Lucknow departing at 5:25am will be the first GoAir flight to operate from T2 on October 29, 2017.

For passenger convenience and for seamless transition, the airport operator DIAL has decided to provide free inter-terminal transfer facility between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 for a period of 3 months. This is in addition to the usual DIAL transfer shuttle buses available for Inter-Terminal Transfer. DIAL and Go Air working together will ensure that the move to Terminal 2 benefits the passengers and provides them with comfortable experience. Together the airline and the airport developer will also ensure that all passengers flying GoAir are suitably made aware of the move and advised.

The Terminal 2 of the IGI Airport has various key features to provide seamless experience to flyers including adequate check-in counters; additional X-ray machines and baggage reclaim belts. The new terminal has four entry and two exit gates. To handle fast growing passenger traffic as many as 74 check-in counters have been set up at the terminal building. A total of nine X-Ray machines have been installed for hassle-free security checks. Besides, for comfortable movement of flyers there are six contact stands as well as four bus gates at the terminal.
