Chennai: The windy breezy evening did more than just wonders to all the attendees at Phoenix MarketCity on the 23rd of September (Saturday) 2017, as they uncovered the secrets to a successful life through a thought provoking performance by Andrea Jeremiah.
Y’s Men International, Madras District, in association with Phoenix MarketCity put together a live musical concert for the welfare of the people. The funds collected from the concert will be used in establishing skill development centres in the city. These skill development centres are aimed at creating opportunities, space and scope for the development of young talents. The courtyard was radiating with the enthusiasm of eager fans who were anxiously awaiting the performance of the most sensational artist in town, Andrea Jeremiah.
The opening act for the evening was performed by playback singer Sharanya Gopinath who left the audience astonished along with her band ‘Drop Squad. They set the stage on fire with their rocking performance. Having worked with legends and a background in Pop-Funk music, she had the audience grooving with the flavours of Chennai. Her performance of songs like Endrendum Punnagai, Rolling in the deep, Nashe se chad gayi created a lasting impression on the listeners. She raised the tempo gradually, setting the stage ready for the star to rock. Every passerby danced to the tunes of Eeena meena deeka, which encouraged Sharanya and team to bring out their best. She paved the way for the audience to expect nothing less than the best.
Andrea dazzled in a black and white striped dress as she jetted onto the stage. She got the listeners sprung to their feet in her very first song for the night, ‘Idhu Varai’. Her gratifying performance was full of flavor and flair. Andrea conveyed a beautiful story through her own compositions like, ‘Twenty four seven and Twenty one seasons’ and let the narrative unfold itself in the process. She performed a song that was written by her,‘It is always dark before the dawn’ which spread messages of love and hope. The entire courtyard was pulsating with roars and shouts from the audience. The cheering stimulated Andrea to perform dynamically with vigor and verve. The audience was on their feet throughout the evening with the same energy from the beginning of the show.
Andrea’s name echoed throughout the arena along with the throbbing beats from the concert even after the end of the concert. Ultimately she loves to put on a good show every time she gets on the stage.
Only the use of superlatives could do justice to a narration of an evening that has imprinted unforgettable memories on the minds of the listeners.
