Madras on My Mind – A City in Stories, will be launched as a part of Madras Week Celebration on Sunday (20.08.2017), 6:45 pm at Odyssey, Adyar.
Chitra Viraraghavan & Krishna Shastri Devulapalli, Editors of the book will launch the book, followed by an interaction with the contributing authors featured in the book. An audience quiz based on the book will be organized.
The anthology features twenty different writers, both veterans and first-timers, and includes fiction and non-fiction; four of the pieces are in translation. Instead of well-worn images of Madras-Chennai, the editors’ aim was to present as many unusual shades of the city as was possible in one volume with the emphasis on story value.
