Karur Vysya Bank rolled out its first Aadhaar Enrolment Centre at its Nelson Manickam Road Branch in Chennai on 16.08.2017. The facility was inaugurated by Shri D M Gajare, Assistant Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office, Bengaluru. KVB is the first private sector bank to provide this service in India.
UIDAI had advised all commercial banks to provide Aadhaar enrolment and updation facility at their branches vide its notification dated July 13, 2017. Karur Vysya Bank immediately identified branches and ensured early implementation of the directive. Following the inauguration of the facility at Chennai, KVB will provide Aadhaar enrolment and updation of Aadhaar data facilities to all its customers at this centre. They have to bring with them any of the approved documents as proofs of residence and identity. The process can be completed in about 15 minutes.
This service will be soon made available at 75 more branches across the country.
