Tiny tots bring scenes from Krishna Jayanthi alive
Virugambakkam saw a beeline of Krishnar, Radha, gopika, Vasudevar and Kamsan on the occasion of the Sri Krishna Jayanthi celebrations organised by Kidzee, Virugambakkam Nearly 155 children participated in the fancy dress completion and about 60 students recited slokas, in a programme organised by Kidzee, a leading play school at Virugambakkam Community Hall.
There were also drawing and painting contests for students from classes Pre Kg to Class 12 , which was organised by Lawrence and Mayo, is a leading retail optical chain. Around 585 Students drew on the themes ranging from national leaders, to environment protection.
On the occasion a free diabetic camp and free eye screening camp too were organised, which saw around 300 people participating in the camp.
The chief guests of the occasion, director Vasanth S Sai and Dr Abdul Ghani called upon the students to inculcate discipline in life and have curiosity and interest to pursue art and science in addition to their academics. Actress Vaishali too attended the event and highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities.
