Chennai 24th July 2017: SRM Nightingale Mat.Hr.Sec.School celebrated its 49th Annual day celebration on 22nd July 2017, at Krishna Gana Sabha, T.Nagar, Chennai. Programme started with the auspicious beginning of lighting kuthuvilakku by senate members. Thiru. S.M. Manokaran, Chief Educational Officer- Chennai district graced the occasion as chief guest. Responsibility of teachers and parents were truly highlighted by the CEO. Thiru. A. Kaliyamurthy, Former Superintendent of Police graced the occasion as guest of honor. He tied the whole mass with his motivational speech. His speech was highly appreciated by the Parents. Importance of Mother, teacher and education in one’s life is tinted in his speech.
Student achievement, School infrastructure and various life skills programme like Quality circle – student chapter, INTERACT club activities, NSE FUNancial quest, were presented in the LED screen, which was very interesting to watch.
Tamil choir on Thirukkural & saving trees, welcome Dance on “Panchabootham”, Fusion dance, Mime, English skit on “Ministry of Akbar &Birbal” compared with the ministry of “Queen Elizabeth & her courtyard” with the concept of internationalism were the cultural events of the day.
