CHENNAI, 30 JUNE 2017: British Airways gears up to curate a fun Sunday in true British style for Chennai this weekend. Scheduled to take place at the Express Avenue Mall, the activity gives customers a chance to experience various aspects of London and a unique opportunity to win a ticket to London by participating in a selfie contest.
To participate in this contest, the visitors can click selfies with their partners or friends against the backdrop of London at the venue and upload it on their Facebook page with #takemetolondon. The engagement takes off from its recent brand campaign ‘Discover the London You Don’t Know’ where the film’s protagonist, a young man from Chennai relives his grandfather’s time in London and eventually discovers a whole new side to the city.
British Airways has a long-standing history in India and Chennai is one of the most promising routes on its network. The event will include exclusive areas for – kids, students, couples and families to experience British Airways hospitality and its heritage. Visitors will be able to try out these zones and experience a taste of the true British life along with fun activities planned for them.
British Airways will also give children the opportunity to paint headrest covers which will be used in one the flights on the Chennai-London route. Additionally, British Airways is promoting its student baggage allowance offer for students travelling to the UK in World Traveller economy and World Traveller Plus premium economy cabins to check an extra piece of luggage weighing up to 23kg.
