SRM College of Pharmacy of SRM University, Kattankulathur, a premier educational & research institution of international repute in various fields of expertise like Medicinal Chemistry, Phytochemistry, Instrumentation, in vitro, in vivo screening etc., signed an MoU with BOGAR LABORATORIES, a premier Contract Research Company, having expertise in the fields of Clinical and Medicinal research, commercial production, marketing and distribution of novel bioactive products.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was entered on 27th day of June 2017, at R. B. Kothuru Road, Rayabhupalapatnam, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh between SRM College of Pharmacy (SRMCP) and Interdisciplinary Institute of Indian System of Medicine (IIISM) of SRM University, represented by its Registrar Prof. N. Sethuraman, SRM UNIVERSITY (SRM), and BOGAR LABORATORIES (BRL), a company registered under the Companies Act, 1956, represented by its Managing Director, Dr. Ramesh BabuBoga, having its registered Office at S.No. 400/1A/2B, R. B. Kothuru Road, Rayabhupalapatnam, Peddapuram- 533437, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The occasion was witnessed by Dr. N. Chandraprabha, Director, Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. K. S. Lakshmi, Dean, SRM College of Pharmacy, Dr. K. Ilango, Dean, IIISM and Dr. V. Chitra, Vice Principal, SRM College of Pharmacy.
Both SRM and BRL evaluated and considered its feasibility and agreed in rendering such collaboration for the purpose of further development of various products, patents, publication, commercialization, production, marketing and distribution of developed products. The MoU highlighted the fact that SRM has strong background in research and proven work in the areas of drug design, synthesis and pharmacological screening of molecules for Alzheimer, Diabetes, Cancer, Tuberculosis etc.
Deploying its personnel as may be required for achieving the ends of this agreement at the discretion of the Dean - SRMCP and the Dean – IIISM. SRM (SRMCP & IIISM) shall render all assistance to biochemical and pharmacological screening and up-gradation of developed new molecules.
