There is a growing understanding in society for the importance to respect and protect animals, which indicates the rise in moral standards of people. Animal protection has become an important ethical and political issue commanding global interest. It is also now governed by a body of international standards and has been agreed by governments globally. Despite this reality, many countries have still not yet implemented even the basic foundations for humane treatment of animals in their constitutions, and many others have only outdated and inadequate provisions.
Animals are sentient creatures with an intrinsic value. To reiterate this Sri Sankara TV is presenting “Samrakshana” a dedicated series about protection of animals and its advantages. Host by Shwetha M V.
