SRM University is organizing Six week certificate course in Sports Coaching from 16th May to 24th June 2017 in the following discipline, Under the Auspices of Sports Authority of India.
1. Athletics
2. Basketball
3. Football
4. Hockey
5. Volleyball
123 students attended the Six week certificate course in Sports coaching from All over India (Kashmir to Kanyakumari - Mumbai to west Bengal – Nepal and Andaman Nicobar). Most of the students are working in schools, colleges, railways, Police and in services.
The purpose of attending the course is to enrich their knowledge in the concerned discipline. They had Morning and evening practical’s and in between from 10.00am to 1.00pm they had theory classes in (FS&H Seminar Rooms and Class Rooms) and they learnt the advance training methods in their particular disciplines. During practical they learnt Tactics & Strategy that they were adopting in the game situations. In addition to that they learnt rules and regulations.
Dr.R.Balasubamanian, Director FSH delivered the valedictory address, Shri Najmul Hoda, IPS, DIG address the gathering and distributed the certificates to the trainees Prof Dr.K.Vaithianathan, Director Sports welcomed the gathering
Mr.S.Daskshinamoorthy proposed vote of thanks. All the SAI coaches attended the function and grace the occasion.
