Rotary Club of Madras East donates Training Kits to Ramakrishna Mission Polytechnic College, Mylapore
The Rotary Club of Madras East (RCME) today through its global grant scheme provided Pneumatic and Hydraulic Training Kits worth Rs 37 Lakhs to Ramakrishna Mission Polytechnic College, Mylapore in association with Rotary Club of San Antonio, USA.
Mr Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Govt. of TN, Higher Education Department did the honors.
According to Rtn K Ananth, President, RCME, “Over the past two years the club has donated equipment worth more than 20 lakhs for the welfare and development of students and the college. We are happy that, this initiative has proved to be very helpful for the students and we will be glad to do more such contribution in the coming future.”
On this occasion, Automation Laboratory was also renamed as Rotary Club of Madras East Automation Laboratory, to recognize the enormous contribution by the club so far to the Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home. Mrs. Swathi Paliwal did the inauguration.
District Rotary Governor Natarajan Nagoji, Rtn Sudarsan Ranganathan, Secretary, Rtn Nalluru Papa Rao, Director, Vocational Services, Rtn P E Ramakrishnan, Director, The Rotary Foundation, and Rtn Radhika Sathyanarayana, Global Grant Chair were present along with other Rotarians.
