Chennai, June: Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha presented ‘Nataka Kalasarathi’ and Life Time Awards to veteran stage actors on their 117 year celebration at Narada Gana Sabha.
Theatre centurion Nataka Kalasarathi K.S. Nagarajan inaugurated the Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha Drama Award function. Industrialist and Sabha President Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti conferred ‘Nataka Kalasarathy’ on senior theatre artist Kudanthai Maali.
He also presented Life Time Award to veteran stage actors Binny Ramachandran and M. Parimalam. ‘Iyakunar Sigaram’ award presented to Bombay Chanakya.
S.V. Sekar, Supreme Court Senior Advocate and Sabha vice president Mohan Parasaran Crazy Mohan, T.V. Varadharajan, Sabha Secretary M. Krishnamurthy, stage actor Sundar were present and felicitated the awardees.
Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha celebrated its 117th year from for 6 days from June 14 to 18 at Narada Gana Sabha. Sabha president Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty inaugurated the festival by lighting kuthuvilakku.
As part of drama festival Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha staged Fathima Babu’s ‘Iraivan Kodutha Varam’ by T.V. Radhakrishnan, Koothapiran Navabharath Theatre ‘Sahuranga Paarvai’ by N. Rathnam, Kalaivaani’s ‘Iravoodu Vilaiyaadu’ by Poovaimani, Mayura Priya Creations presents ‘Vivaahamalai.com’ by P. Muthukumaran, Stage creations ‘Ninaipathallam Nadanthuvittal’ by S.L. Naanu.
