Hindu Mission Hospital gets three new anaesthesia Workstations

The Rotary Club of Madras East (RCME) today dedicated 3 new anaesthesia work stations valued at 32 lakhs to the public at the Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram. This is a part the Global Grant Project with Rotary Club of San Antonio, USA, in association with Rajan & Ragini Raghavan Family Foundation and Rotary Dist. 5840. District Rotary Governor Natarajan Nagoji did the honours. The Anaesthesia Workstations are supplied by GE Healthcare and Monitors by Philips.

According to Rtn K Ananth, President, RCME, the club had set themselves an ambitious target and embarked upon two large projects totally worth US $ 100,000. One of the projects was in the avenue of Health care and with an institution that RCME has already supported in the past and doing great service to the common man in and around Tambaram.

The Global Grant requires that the participating club (RCME) to identify a deserving beneficiary and provide support that will enhance the current service capabilities and help in providing better care with superior facilities to the community at large including affordable cost.

Thanking the Rotary Club of Madras East for their support year-on-year, and helping the hospital to upgrade their services and match the best of best in terms of quality and service, the founder of Hindu Mission Hospital, Padma Shri D K Srinivasan said, “The equipment provided to HMH are - 3 Nos of Anaesthesia Workstations for the operation theatres at a cost of Rs. 32 Lakhs. The Hospital now has 9 operating Theatres (OTs). The equipment we provide will benefit patients undergoing general surgery including maxo-facial and urology, orthopaedic surgeries and women undergoing gynaecological surgeries.”

On this occasion, Hindu Mission Hospital decided to honour the Rotary Club of Madras East for their consistent support to the hospital in the cause of community welfare by naming the ICU Rotary Club of Madras East Intensive Care Unit.

Mr. Srinivasan K. Swamy, President, HMH Dr. D.K Sriram, Medical Director, HMH, Rtn R. Sudarsan, Secretary, RCME, Rtn S. Radhika, Chairman – Global Grant, and Rtn RM. Meenakshi Sundaram, Director, Community Service Health were also present.
