Pudukkotai, 28 May 2017: The protest against the hydrocarbon exploration and extraction project at Neduvasal entered the 46th day on Saturday with the protesters remaining firm on the demand for a definite assurance from the Centre that the project would be abandoned.
Villagers of Neduvasal staged a novel protest on 46th day in protest against the proposed exploration of hydrocarbon. Young students of the village pledged to study only agriculture related studies, not medical or engineering. Actor Aari participated extended his support to the protestors by participating in the protest on the same day.
Actor Aari, the socially inclined actor had been active with many schemes that will benefit the general public. He was one among many celebrities who protested at the Marina beach against the ban on Jallikattu. Aari has also invested a good amount of his time trying to bring back the traditional style of agriculture which results in organic grade fruits and vegetables. With many more interesting schemes which he's working on one after the other, Aari recently initiated the Maaruvom Maatruvom movement.
