CAIRO: The Islamic State militant group on Saturday claimed responsibility for an attack on a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Egypt on Friday that left 29 persons dead, the media reported.
According to Xinhua news agency, the IS said its fighters, ten armed men in four cars, carried out the shooting near al-Adwa city that also injured over 20 others.
The attack took place when the worshippers were travelling to the monastery of Saint Samuel.
