Tamil Nadu Basketball Association along with Aries Steel Foundation in collaboration with Kanchipuram District Basketball Association is organising the 29th Junior State Basketball Championship for the students of Tamil Nadu from 18th to 21st May 2017 at SRM University Campus, Chennai. The Event is held for the students who are below 18 years. The Match fixtures are scheduled for all the above mentioned days.
The Inaugural function took place at SRM University and was attended by an array of Dignitaries. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, the Chancellor of SRM University. The overall in-charge of the event was Dr. K. Vaidhiyanadhan, Director of Sports. The Secretary of Aries Steel Foundation Mr. Adhav Arjun was heading the event.
The Organising Chairman of the event was Mr. V.V.R. Raj Sathyan and the guest of honour for the event was Mr. Senthil Thyagarajan. The Basketball event for both Men and Women was conducted with the gracious wishes and blessings of all the dignitaries.
In this event, 30 Men and 19 Women had participated in this basketball championship from various Districts of Tamil Nadu.
The Event was Organised in a very grand manner by the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association, D. Parivendhan, D.R. Balan, T.A. Andhirapathy, S.R. Vetrivel, J.Mohan, A.Arul Venkatesh, C. Thayummanavan, D. Abudhagir, M.A. Abdul Samath, N.Sampath ,Dr. Mohan & Mr Albert. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere acknowledgement to the entire organising committee of the event. The event was a grand success and also catered to the upcoming talents of the youth.
