April, 2017: Phoenix MarketCity, the city’s destination for live music entertainment will be hosting ‘TAKE 5’, a music band that has experimented with different genres of music from Jazz, Rock & Pop. Their versatility is demonstrated in their music when they experiment by adding new melodious elements.
TAKE 5 is a multi-genre band starring lead vocalist Mridula Krishnan with supporting musicians Anthony Karuna, Bruce Lee, Mario and Shyam Rao.
Mridula Krishnan has worked with some of the best Music Directors in the industry, such as A.R Rahman, Ilayaraja, Pravin Mani and Anirudh Ravichander.
Anthony Karuna is a keyboard whiz who has made his mark in the music recording industry for over two decades. He has played the keyboards for over 700 songs and has been part of the tribute shows such as ABBA, MJ, Pink Floyd, Legends of Rock, Deep Purple, Scorpions & Rolling Stones.
Shyam Rao is considered one of the finest drummers in Chennai and is known for his robust knowing and musical finesse.
Bruce Lee has been a part of well- known bands like Medium Rare, The Molotov Cocktail, The Shruti Hassan Band, The Funk Agenda and currently ‘The Funkadelics’, while fellow musician Mario, has performed with popular bands such as No Idea, 7 Days, Moksha and Garage Monsters Inc.
