Chennai: Express Avenue, the Destination Shopping Mall of India celebrated “Easter 2017” on 16th April, 2017 (Sunday) in a fun-filled way. Hundreds of mall visitors, kids, youngsters and retailers gathered and spent the evening in a joyous manner at the Central Atrium of the mall.
Easter Sunday, is a festival for Christians celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Easter has many significances and it is celebrated by Christians around the world. Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given out to celebrate the Easter festival. As a pioneer in celebrating many festivals and other special occasions irrespective of regional, religious, language differences, Express Avenue celebrated “Easter 2017” in a colourful manner.
“Easter 2017” was celebrated in a grand as well as the fun-filled manner in the central atrium of the mall. A huge Bunny Ville was set-up in the atrium where kids were allowed to explore the nuances of the decoration. There was an “Easter Selfie Zone” provided within the Bunny Ville where visitors were allowed to register their memories by clicking photos.
Shoppers’ favourite, Express Avenue associated with Index Band and presented a mesmerizing live band performance for the visitors of the mall between 04 and 07 pm on Sunday in the central atrium. Many musical genres and songs based on the visitors’ request were performed live. Children’s dance during the band performance was another interesting factor of Easter 2017 celebrations at Express Avenue.
