March, Chennai, 2017: Phoenix MarketCity witnessed a laughing frenzy crowd at the Courtyard on Sunday, as the mall hosted an evening of stand-up comedy with the loud and witty Zakir Khan, one of the most sought after comedians of the country.
With an impeccable charisma and comic timing, Zakir Khan set the ball rolling for the evening as he began his act with amusing ice-breaking one-liners in his signature satirical style. Sharing his keen insights on human nature and anecdotes from daily life, the Courtyard echoed with sounds of endless laughter for every humour filled punch that was delivered by Zakir.
The show kept the audience thoroughly engaged and his entire performance revolved around the theme, ‘Haq se single’. Zakir spoke about the ups and downs in his relationships and how he managed to find humour in them; that kept his life going. There were quite a few moments where he used his popular jokes as references and the audience was already in sync with him, even before he could realise.
Zakir Khan created a comic havoc in his innovative way by connecting the youth with some really appealing and popular topics. The audience identified themselves with the comic situations and enjoyed the evening with his rib-tickling comic therapy.
