* Vinit Toke has been appointed as Manager for Dubai Business Events with Charson Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. (India)
9th March, 2017: Dubai Business Events, the city’s official convention bureau, has appointed Vinit Toke as the Manager for its division in India, further strengthening Dubai’s positioning as a premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions from the Indian Market.
Mr. Toke will be based at Charson Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. (India), and will represent the bureau in the Indian market, driving engagement with key industry leaders, as well as supporting the requirements of corporate and event partners.
Dubai as a city is evolving at a remarkable pace, with business tourism and leisure offerings growing exponentially with the development of new attractions, hotels, meeting venues and convention spaces.In 2016, India was once again the largest overall source market for visitors to Dubai, with 1.8 million overnight visitors to the city, representing 12% year-on-year growth.
Speaking about the appointment, Steen Jakobsen, Director, Dubai Business Events & City Operations, said: “Dubai has built a strong reputation as a vibrant and diverse destination,and India is one of its core source markets. This appointment of Vinit Toke further consolidates our presence in the country, as we aim to expand our base and operations within the market.”
Mr. Toke’s role is to promote Dubai, within India, as the preferred business events destination. His role will also encompass meeting with travel agents, tour operators, business events specialists, wedding planners, trade associations, and large corporations.
He has a strong background and experience in the business events industry, having been employed previously with Cox & Kings India Ltd. as Senior Executive – Business Development (MICE), and having worked with companies like Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd. and MTDC.
Mr. Toke has pursued his Masters in Marketing Management from Mumbai University and holds a PG Diploma in Event Management and Public Relation, Hospitality, Travel& Tourism Management, in addition to a Diploma in Hotel Management.
