Mobitech Wireless Solution and MonC, announced the winners of Impact-a-preneur Quest 2016 at Unconvention Chennai
Chennai, February 1, 2017: Mobitech Wireless Solution and MonC were recognized and awarded for Impact-a-preneur Quest, a pitch contest hosted for innovative entrepreneurs with businesses that have a social impact. The winners were awarded at the Unconvention Chennai, hosted by Villgro and TiE Chennai and supported by Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
The winners of Impact-a-preneur Quest were handed over Rs 3 lakhs cash grant and offered an opportunity to be incubated and funded by Villgro for up to Rs 65 lakh and mentoring by TiE Chennai.
Speaking on hosting the Unconvention Center, PR Ganapathy, President (India), Villgro said, “The social enterprise landscape in India is developing well with impact investors and incubators like us all looking for innovative businesses to support. India has a tremendous startup culture already and with Unconvention we are hoping to translate that into a thriving social enterprise startup culture”.
Ms. Akhila Rajeshwar, Executive Director, TiE Chennai says "TiE Chennai has always supported entrepreneurs and has nurtured innovative business ideas. Today, social entrepreneurs are on a rise and are seen to explore newer ways to bring change through their businesses. Mr. R. Ramaraj, IIMC, Villgro, Elevar Equity gave the welcome address at the Unconvention Center and Ms. ShaheenMistri, CEO of Teach for India gave the Keynote Address. Other key highlights of the event was Mr. Ajith Narayan, Founder, Inventions Labs sharing his entrepreneurial journey followed by the Panel Discussion on Entrepreneurs Support Ecosystem and a session on Raising Capital, an Entrepreneur and Investor Perspective.
Unconvention Chennai is part of a series of seven events being organised by Villgro all over India.
