Professor Haim Belmaker President of the International Neuropsychiatric Association & Israel Psychiatric Association formally inaugurated TRIMED’s innovative Mobile Therapy Unit in Chennai, recently. TRIMED www.trimedtherapy.com which offers integrative medical therapy as a rehabilitation paradigm combines modern allopathic care with the best of ancient medical traditions- Acupuncture, Acupressure, Ayurveda, Hydrotherapy, Mud Therapy, Naturotherapy, Physiotherapy, Psychological Therapy, Pilates, Reflexology & Yoga.

TRIMED has collaborated with NEUROKRISH - the Neuropsychiatry Centre www.neurokrish.com to launch this Mobile Unit and through it the innovative Buddhi project, a unique integrative program for the care of people with brain & mind disability.

Inaugurating the mobile therapy unit Professor Belmaker expressed his admiration for the integrative therapy approach that had been pioneered by TRIMED. Addressing patients at a linked clinical case conference he said “I can see that the comprehensive care provided by TRIMED has ensured your holistic well being and greatly improved functioning”.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr. Ennapadam S Krishnamoorthy Founder of TRIMED & NEUROKRISH and President Elect of the International Neuropsychiatric Association said the mobile therapy unit was a gift from Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance Ltd. & the family of Late Dr. Deepa Krishnan. The unit that has been doing pilot trials for a few months is now ready to take comprehensive care to the doorstep of those with disability across the lifespan. TRIMED’s model of care has benefited over 5000 people, each of whom has received an average of 15 interventions. He also announced that the unit’s first social impact program would focus on providing integrative care for children with autism attending a special school. Dr. Rema Raghu, Clinical Director announced that the added convenience of a Mobile Therapy Unit, will enable TRIMED to reach a much wider audience of elderly and those with medical disability. "TRIMED already cares for a large number of people with neurological, orthopaedic, endocrine, mental health & lifestyle conditions: children, adults & elders who will benefit from this convenience", she said.

It is noteworthy that TRIMED, which is one of the few healthcare start-ups from Tamil Nadu to have received substantive investments this fiscal, will soon expand its footprint from 4 to 6 centres across Chennai.
