CHENNAI: AIADMK Rajya Shaba MP Sasikala Pushpa sought protection from the Parliament alleging that she had been slapped by her party leader, and was forced to quit, the MP's husband and son moved to the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail, they fear arrest by the Anna Nagar police for alleged offences.
The petitioners claimed that several persons who were against the MP, and her political rivals had foisted false cases against them. They further added that the FIR had been registered against them with an intention to cause further problems to the MP.
The judge adjourned the petition to August 8 for further hearing.
